Better version

Wednesday, February 9, 2000: Yardenit on the Jordan just south of the Sea of Galilee. This is a popular spot for baptisms. The traditional site of Christ's baptism is further south and in the Kingdom of Jordan. There were fish swimming around my feet (and a couple lying dead nearby).
