Thursday, February 10, 2000: This view of the Salt Sea taken from the top of Masada demonstrates why the Israelis prefer not to call it "Dead". It is very valuable to them for "farming" salt. It is valuable also to Jordan. Just above Casey's hat the strip of land marks the border between Jordan (left) and Israel (right).
