Wednesday evening, February 9, 2000: It was already evening when we arrived at our hotel on the Dead Sea (more properly called "The Salt Sea" in Israel). The photograph of me floating is quite dark and so I have used that of my sister instead. I also tried standing in the deep water, which was interesting because the saltiness of the water "tried" to push me over onto my back, which was okay if done slowly, or onto my face, which was NOT okay!
